Becoming immersed in the wild and rugged environment surrounding us is an integral part of the Lundies experience. Our unique northerly location feeds into our menus through locally-sourced produce from land and sea, taking you on a journey through the local landscape and beyond. The rhythm of the seasons ripples through the Lundies kitchen, can often be found foraging along the shores and in the nearby woodlands for culinary delights.
Back in the kitchen, these often humble ingredients are elevated to take centre-stage in our dishes. The cooking is ambitious yet retrained, and our small menu ensures each ingredient firmly earns its place on the plate. A relaxed dinner of three courses, is served by candlelight in the dining room and reflects our shared love of food and creativity. Scottish ceramicist Cara Guthrie and Danish duo Aage and Kasper Wurtz, provide bespoke tableware to showcase or dishes.
Sustainability is a cornerstone of Lundies House, and this extends to our thoughtfully curated wine list. We are passionate about natural, often organic and biodynamic, wines from innovative small producers. These sit comfortably alongside some carefully chosen fine wines from around Europe.
Breakfast is a gentle and nourishing start to the day, enjoyed slowly as morning light filters through into the dining room. Once ready to venture outside, a hearty packed lunch is included and contains all the sustenance required for a day in the elements.
